Spin the wheel to pick a random entry

What Is a Picker Wheel?

A picker wheel is a free online tool that randomly selects one entry from your list by spinning an animated wheel. You add your own entries β€” names, teams, tasks, options, anything β€” click Spin, and the wheel lands on one at random. Every entry occupies an equal segment, so each has exactly the same chance of being chosen. No bias, no favorites, no arguments about fairness.

This Picker Wheel has two modes. Pick a Winner draws one entry and leaves the wheel intact, so every spin uses the full list. Eliminationremoves the entry the wheel lands on each spin and keeps going until a single entry is left standing β€” perfect for "who's out" games and last-one-left challenges. Add up to 30 entries or paste a list, and everything runs in your browser β€” nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

How to Use the Picker Wheel

  1. Add your entries: Replace the sample entries with your own β€” type an entry and press Enter, or paste a comma/newline-separated list to add many at once. Up to 30 entries.
  2. Choose a mode: Pick a Winner draws from the full wheel every spin; Elimination removes the landed entry each spin until one is left standing.
  3. Spin: Click Spin or the center hub. The wheel spins with an ease-out deceleration and stops with one entry under the pointer.
  4. See the result: The winner (or eliminated entry) appears in the result card. In Elimination mode the final survivor is crowned Last One Standing. Copy any result with one click.
  5. Reset or restore: Switch modes to start a fresh round, click Restore to bring back eliminated entries, or Reset to defaults to restore the sample entries.

Pick a Winner vs. Elimination Mode

  • Pick a Winner: One spin, one random winner, wheel unchanged. Use it to pick a raffle winner, choose who goes first, or select a random option β€” then spin again anytime from the same full list.
  • Elimination:Each spin removes the entry it lands on. Keep spinning to narrow the field until one entry remains β€” the last one standing. Use it for elimination games, deciding who's out, or dramatic bracket-style reveals. Restore all eliminated entries with one click when you're done.

How the Random Pick Works

  • Pre-selected winner: The winning entry is chosen using Math.random() the moment you click Spin. The wheel then decelerates to land on that segment β€” the spin is visual, the outcome is already fair.
  • Equal probability: Every entry has an identical chance regardless of label length or position on the wheel. There are no weighted slots.
  • Client-side only: All randomization and rendering happens in your browser. No entries or results are sent to a server or stored anywhere.

What to Use a Picker Wheel For

  • Picking a winner: Add entrants and spin for a fair, random giveaway or raffle winner.
  • Elimination games: Use Elimination mode to knock out entries one by one until a single survivor remains.
  • Choosing who's out:Spin to decide who sits out, who does the chore, or who's eliminated from a round.
  • Random selection: Pick a task, a topic, a prize, or an option when you want an impartial choice.
  • Classroom & team use: Add names and spin to call on someone or assign turns β€” for a name-first version, try the Wheel of Names.
  • Games & challenges: Add dares, forfeits, or mini-games and spin to pick one at random.

Features

  • Two modes: Pick a Winner (wheel stays full) and Elimination (last one standing).
  • Animated SVG wheel: Labeled segments, a pointer, and a smooth ease-out spin that feels like a real wheel.
  • Up to 30 custom entries: Add entries one at a time or paste a whole list; remove any with a click.

  • Recent results: Your last several winners or eliminations are shown below the result card.
  • One-click copy: Copy any result to your clipboard instantly.
  • Equal odds: Every entry has an identical chance on every spin β€” provably fair.
  • Private & free: Runs entirely in your browser with no signup and no limits; nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

What is the difference between Pick a Winner and Elimination mode?

Pick a Winner draws one entry and keeps the wheel intact. Elimination removes the landed entry each spin until one remains β€” the last one standing. Elimination is great for "who's out" games and last-one-left challenges.

Yes. Type an entry and press Enter, or paste a comma-separated or newline-separated list to add many at once β€” up to 30 entries. Remove any by clicking Γ— next to it.

Is the picker truly random?

Yes. The winning entry is chosen with Math.random() before the animation starts, so every entry has an equal probability on every spin. The spin is visual only β€” the outcome is already decided when you click Spin.

Can I restore entries after elimination?

Yes. In Elimination mode, click "Restore eliminated entries" to bring every removed entry back, or switch modes to reset the round automatically.

Does it store my entries?
