When you click Spin, the tool picks the winner using Math.random() before the animation starts. Every month has exactly a 1-in-12 (8.33%) chance each spin. The spinning wheel animation is purely visual — the result is already decided when the wheel begins to move. After roughly 3 seconds of deceleration, the wheel stops on the selected month.
